This year's trail class favored the fast strategies over the careful ones, and it's a little surprising that more teams didn't adopt this strategy, which worked well for Team Saddlebred. With the fast-paced wall of trust, carrying obstacle, flag and bridge combo, and the Telus ball, teams could rack up a respectable number of points in the three-minute time limit before tackling the more time consuming back-throughs and side passes. Only four riders attempted the 100 point bonus obstacle, a zig-zag path through raised poles. Two horses were successful, Taro for Team Canadian Warmblood and Willowview Dawn Nikki for Team Canadian Horse.
