American Sportpony Inspections held
April 25th in Ontario
The first American Sportpony inspections ever held in Eastern
Canada took place April 25th. Inpsectors were Sonja Lowenfish from
Florida and Martha Aitken from Alabama. Organized by Jane Southgate
and her husband Robert Hanenberg, the inspections had 21 ponies
and one foal and were held at Fox Run, owned by Dieter Werner who
had the facility in great shape. Several trillium and future shows
are held at Fox Run every year. The arena was perfect for the free
jumping and there was a viewing area upstairs for spectators, of
which there was a good turn out. Another inspection is tentatively
planned for fall at Jane and Robert's farm in Glen Morris but no
date has yet been set.

to take pictures for the participants.
The American Sportpony Society will again have their foal futurity
for 2004 with a total cash prize of US$2,000.00 for the Canadian
Sportpony foals, plus an additional US$2,000.00 for the US Sportpony
foals. For all adult Canadian Sportponies registered and graded
with the American Sportpony Registry they host the Year-End Award
program in which all can participate for the dressage, hunter/jumper,
eventing and driving disciplines. Contact the American
Sportpony Society for details.
