Frankie Chesler Named ProChaps ‘Athlete of the Month’
for October
Ottawa, Ontario--- Jump Canada has named Frankie
Chesler of Orangeville, ON, the ProChaps ‘Athlete of the Month’
for October.
While living and training in the Netherlands, Chesler has enjoyed
great success in the month of October. Based in Tull en’t
Wall, NED, for the past four months, Chesler has been competing
in Belgium, Holland, and Germany.
On the first weekend of October, Chelser was one of seven riders
to advance to the jump-off in the Grand Prix at CSI*** Welkenraedt,
Belgium. Riding Sher-Al Farms’ VDL Nuit de Pomme, Chesler
placed second after clocking in less than a second off the winning
time.
At CSI Hasselt, BEL, held from October 21 to 24, Chesler and VDL
Nuit de Pomme were among the 53 entries to advance to the jump-off
in the 1.50m Grote Prijs Studbook Zangersheide, placing fourth overall.
Chesler also enjoyed several other top ten placings at CSI Hasselt,
placing third in the 1.40m Prijs Het Belang International, seventh
in 1.40m Prijs FSC, and ninth in the 1.40m Prijs AJK.
“I am so excited to be honoured as the ProChaps ‘Athlete
of the Month’ for October,” noted Chesler. “I
have been working very hard the past few months in Europe in order
to gain the international experience I need to represent Canada
to the best of my ability. Thanks to my family and sponsors, I have
the opportunity to wake up every morning and work at a job that
I love and want to do for the rest of my life. It is fantastic that
Pro Chaps has chosen to sponsor this worthy program that encourages
excellence in our sport.”
