Drogheda Farm Announces the Purchase of PELLEGRINO

11-20-09 -- Drogheda Farm is very excited to announce the purchase of Thoroughbred stallion PELLEGRINO (BRZ).

"Well it has been a bit of a day on my nerves. Judy Wardrope left here after supper a week ago Thursday. She was heading to the Keeneland Sale to look at a horse for me. We tried to purchase him privately to no avail. PELLEGRINO (BRZ) won $650,000 and set a track record at 12 furlongs. If any of you follow racing, you will realize how rare this is.

"Judy called to tell me he had been recieving some interest from South American buyers outside the ring. We ended up bidding against his breeder who wanted to take him back to Brazil. No such luck – PELLEGRINO (BRZ) will be leaving Kentucky to start a new life in Canada. I am most excited to use this pony on my Cricket daughters as well. THANK YOU Judy Wardrope!"
