Young's Expensive Hobby Hobby is a stunning dark bay, with intelligence and stamina, combined with the right amount of Class for in or out of the show ring. You can’t go wrong breeding to this wonderful and loving stallion, that passes on his temperament, charm and exceptional athletic abilities. Hobby is a registered purebred Sec. B Welsh stallion and also registered American Sport Pony. In 2003 Hobby was inspected by the American Sport Pony Association and received his 1st Premium status. That fall Hobby had his first foal to be inspected, Evergreen Sunris, who also received his 1st Premium status - scoring higher then his sire and dam! Congratulations to Evergreen Stables. Hobby started training in harness and under saddle at Unicorn Stables with Tammie Blewett in Surrey B.C. the Fall of 2001. In the spring of 2002 Tammie and Hobby started showing at the Three Day Events and Training Level CDE’s always placing very well. By the middle of the year he had proven himself to be an exceptional athlete, moving up to Preliminary Level at the CDE’s where they finished off the year. In 2003 starting the year at the Preliminary Level, Tammie and
Hobby focused only on Combined Driving, competing through out B.C.
and Alberta at High Country, placing 3rd over all. This year, Tammie
and Hobby will continue to compete on the CDE circuit, with plans
to travel to the USA. They will again start out the year at the
Preliminary Level and by mid summer they have plans to advance to
Intermediate.
